We're excited to be kicking off the 11th annual season of the fundraising disc golf double series. As this is the 11th season, naturally our goal for the year is $15,000 raised for the Food Bank of the Rockies! The Food Bank can create 4 meals out of every dollar donated. Let's help the Food Bank provide 60,000 meals for those in need! In the past 10 years, this event has raised almost $80,000! Let's keep it going strong! We've got 13 great weeks lined up on the awesome disc golf courses along the front range. We'll be coming to a course near you very soon!
Weekly donation is $5 per person to play. ALL PROCEEDS NOT SPENT ON PRIZES WILL BE DONATED TO THE FOOD BANK OF THE ROCKIES!!!
Format will be random draw doubles, best shot with a small twist... double birdies!
Double birdies - Both players drive and select the best shot. If both players make birdie from that spot they score a -2 for that hole. If one player hits an ace their partner can still get a birdie to go -3 on the hole. Two aces count as -4. Get some!!!
Just to keep everyone guessing, the tournament hosts will modify several holes prior to start time! Watch out for alternate shot, worst shot, putter/driver only holes, mini hole, forehand only, disc swaps and more! This is going to be fun!!!
Weekly winners will each receive a Winter Warrior bag tag with the series logo, date and location. Series winners (top 10 men and top 5 women) will receive trophies.
Series winners and places will be determined by totaling the players' top 6 weekly scores. The more you play, the more chances you have at bettering your score!
We will be offering both a Men's and a Women's division with prizes for the top group in each and maybe a prize for the #1 finisher in each division if we can swing it.
Weekly participation is not required. For those that are hearty enough to attend all 13 weeks, they will receive a "Winter Warrior" trophy for making them all.
There will be a weekly ace pool for $1 per week. Ace pool winners will receive 50% of the pool. The remaining 50% will be donated to the Food Bank of the Rockies fund. Dollars will carry over from week to week. CTP throws for donated prizes are $1 per throw immediately following each round.
Please let us know if you have something to donate... discs, game tickets, ski passes, etc. It is for a great cause! Back again this year: Mulligans for sale! You can purchase up to two mulligans to use during the round (1 for $3 or 2 for $5). Use 'em or lose 'em as you can only use them for that week's round. You can share with your partner if you would like.
We're again excited to offer a WW Season Pass! The Season Pass costs $60 and will gain you entry into each week of Winter Warriors, a WWXI Season Pass bag tag, a free CTP throw each week, priority registration into the kick-off at Adams Hollow and a WWXI custom designed long sleeve dry fit shirt and another TWO OTHER custom items! If you purchase a WWXI Season Pass, you do not have to participate in each week, but should you choose to participate in any week, you're all paid up! (does not include Ace Pool entries or bonus events to be announced later). Season Passes can be purchased any week during the WWXI season, though we recommend buying early to maximize your savings. To purchase a WWXI Season Pass, just register and pay via the MHDGC website just as you would for any MHDGC tournament. We will also accept cash at any of the Winter Warrior events.
