February minutes were voted on and approved
Member comments - Jason spoke to the board about who he his and his background. He just moved to Colorado from Georgia and informed us he has worked with/for the PDGA for 7 years and would be a good person for insight on several things from course design to the inner workings of the PDGA . The board appreciated him coming to the meeting and introducing himself.
Voting on officers - The Board made it official with the officers for 2017 being voted on and approved.
President - Camden Farmer
Vice President - Mike Storrs
Treasurer - Kyle Harrigan
Secretary - Jay Burghardt
Financials doing well - Kyle spoke about this and said we are approximately $1,309 in the black. This is after all allocated money, so far, for the entire year. (tournament sponsorships, tag purchases, ect)
Kyle asked about the course funds, and if the board thought we should combine the general course fund with the Bird's Nest Fund. Jay spoke up and said, if it doesn't cause more work, then he would prefer to keep them separate as the Bird's Nest fund is in constant use and gives the Board a good glimpse of what is spent, and what is still in, each fund. Kyle agreed to keep them separated.
Website updates - Kyle said he would prefer to keep our club's events on the Mile High website if possible. Geoff spoke and said that him and Jonathan Siska will attempt to be our "Chad" for the club and will little by little work their way into different aspects of the website where needed.
Membership - Jamie gave an update - Current registered members - 167. There are 213 tags out, to tagmasters, board members, ect.
Tag matches - Tag matches will be in full swing next week with all listed tag matches being updated on the Mile High website.
Ice Bowl wrap up - Numbers are not in yet, but getting close. April 8th has been chosen for our annual tour of the Food Bank of the Rockies Warehouse.
Past - Winter Fling - Kyle spoke about that and said he was please the number of signups
BLT - Camden asked if it was OK to use the MH website for registration - Board easily voted yes
High Plains Challenge - No news at thyme.
RMWDGC - Registration is filling up - Basket sales are a bit slower than expected but it is expected they will all sell. There are a few high profile woman golfers on the waitlist and Josh said he expects them all to get in. Still need more caddies
Then next installment of the Grudge match, to raise money for the Women's event has been put into motion and is scheduled for May 13.
Peak 1 - Mike Storrs spoke about this and said things were coming along fine. Courses still being worked on. He said people of in Frisco are working on a possible course tweaking of the holes, but not enough to change the event.
He said some of his plans he has includes a short glow course, and a long drive competition.
Johnny Roberts - Right now, its still at the Adams Hollow course, with the possibility of putting a temp course in the areas currently not being used in the park.
MHC - Paco - no news
Shades of Gray - No news
Course Issues - Kyle would like to have tee signs up and completed by Spring Fling
New Business - sponsorship from should be finished shortly and will be put on line.
501 update - Pete hopes to have update for the board by the next board meeting
June and July need replacement venues for the club's board meeting
Volunteer appreciation night -Jonathan Siska spoke about this. April 12th is the scheduled afternoon/evening and it will be held at the Interlocken course/pavilion and has already secured needed permits for the event. He said that if you have others you would like to be invited, please send him an email with the person's name and email address.
