In Attendance - Marsha Sonderfan, John Bird, Chad Francis, Ray Woodruff, Camden Farmer, Dave Straight, Tom Hamilton, Max Maclay and Jay Burghardt
December's minutes were voted on and approved
Financials - Sent out by Ken Hughes - Currently showing $1942.92 in the black
Membership - Dave Straight informed us we are at 123 confirmed memberships. It was brought up that Kyle Maute has asked about him having the ability to update the membership site with new members. Much discussion about it and it was agreed that he could with a limited number of activities he can perform.
Tags - Tags nights will officially start up the week of March 12th. CHU will have a Thursday tag match. Those who wish to play must either be a season holder at the course, or it will be a $5.00 pay to play for that round.
Website update - Chad was present and informed us that the mobile version is back up. He is still looking to flip the forum to a different version
Soup R Food Bowl - Registration is up. Discs will soon be ordered. The artwork is in. Same format as last year with Mulligans in play. There will be a separate "division" set up for those who wish to the purchase the Buffett at the awards banquet.
Spring Fling - Plans are well underway. Marsha is putting things in order and doing a great job. She is planning on having both discs and gift certificates to use for payouts. Marsha showed the board the 1st aid kit she plans to have in the players pack, and it looks sweet.
RODNOC - Chad let the board know that he is still thinking about where he would like the money raised from the event to go. He expressed a bit of concern over the funds of previous years, not coming back to Colorado. The board agreed to back Chad up on whatever decision he decides to go with.
High Plains Challenge - John Bird announced that he has already received a $3,000 check from Ft Morgan to go towards the event. He is looking to have the same format at last year, with two rounds on Saturday one round of tee times on Sunday.
Rocky Mountain Women's Disc Golf Championship - Ray handed out a paper on the current money raised, and current money spent. he also had questions.
1. How much, if any, MHDGC would donate to the event. Jay Burghardt said, since it's a MHDGC event, that the same amount of money that other MH events get, so should this. The board discussed this and no decision was made.
2. He wanted to know what Spring Fling discs were being ordered so they would not duplicate them.
3. Would there be a limit to the free spots for the Jr. girls?
No definitive answer was agreed on.
Colo States - John Bird announced that the Colorado States tourney this year, will be held back out in Ft. Morgan, with John Bird as the TD. He asked the board if it should be made a MHDGC event. Much discussion was made about the same location for two A tiers. It was voted 7 yes, 2 no, to make it an official MHDCG event
Elections - There were 4 positions up for election.
For the office of Treasurer - Ken Hughes was nominated, and seconded, and ran unopposed. A vote was taken and it was unanimous that he be reelected to the position of Treasurer.
For the office of Secretary - Jay Burghardt was nominated, and seconded, and ran unopposed. A vote was taken and it was unanimous that he be reelected to the position of Secretary.
For the office of President, there were three nominees. John Bird, Marsha Sonderfan and Ray Woodruff. These names were voted on, and stated that the top vote getter would have the office of President, and the second most votes would have the office of Vice President.
Votes were taken on a secret ballot, and given to the Secretary, Jay, to tally them up.
He announced the order of finish being close, right up until the last vote was counted.
Ray Woodruff was the top vote getter, and will become the President of the Mile High Disc Golf Club for 2012
Marsha Sonderfan finished second, and will become the Vice President of the Mile High Disc Golf Club for 2012.
The board thanked John for the previous decade of service to the club as President, and is looking forward to his next three years as a board member, which he was just voted in by the club.
With no more business to be presented, the meeting adjourned at 9:03pm
