Jay Burghardt - Secretary

Club Member comments - Chris Keener asked the board about the jr. fund, and wondered if he could run an event just for kids, using these funds. The board liked the idea, and asked if Chris could send the board expected costs for this event to approve.

The Board asked Chris about possibly running the Shades of Grey again this year, and he said he might consider it if no other club in the state inquires about it.

Financials - Kyle sent out the financials for all to see. He said the club needs $2288 to break even for the year, and sees this a no problem with our early robust sales of tags. He is still clearing some things up and hopes to have it nice and neat before handing off the Treasurership to Tashi.

February finances were voted on an approved

Website update - The Board is hoping we can get the front page of the MHDGC site can get cleaned up with more accurate information. Board members will look into this, and hope that Geoff Hungerford might be able to help out with this.

Membership Update - Jamie spoke about tags currently sold and informed the board that we are currently at 229 for the year. Jamie thought that the Club is in a good place with this many confirmed memberships, this early in the year.

Jamie said he would like to buy more Junior and Lady tags, and the board agreed to him full control of when and how many tags to buy. This includes general club tags, if needed.

It was agreed by the board, that if a Junior wants to buy a Junior tag, then it will be $10. If he wants to buy a general club tag, then he would pay the regular fee, but he can also get a Jr tag for free.

Tournament Updates

Past

Winter Warriors - Josh spoke about another successful year and has a preliminary total of just under $16,000. Once he has the exact numbers, we will post that.

Ice Bowl - Jay spoke about another successful Ice Bowl, and has a preliminary totally of just over $8,000.

He said this should go up once we "find" all the different donations that went directly into the Food Bank website, under different names and events

Future tournaments - no updates on future events at this time

Dragons Breath tournament is asking for a sponsorship. The board spoke about it and agreed we would be up for sponsoring a tee sign.

Brighton Legacy - Camden Farmer sent the board a sponsorship request. The Board agreed it was a good cause but has decided to table the amount for the time being until we see where our clubs finances are, moving forward.

Course Issues

Paco is looking to put a community garden on/near the course and might have to rearrange some of the holes.

Highland Hills

The Highland Hills Parks and Recreation board meeting was attended by a few board members and with a new set of people in the key positions that effect the course, a "fresh slate" is welcomed and looking forward to course improvements. The board believes Highland Hills will match money raised by the club for these improvements and that could be a big boost to get things done.

Lighthouse - not definite, but rumors spreading about a possible redesign.

New Business - The city of Aurora is looking to put on a few clinics in April and as inquired to the Club if they will be able to help. The Board liked the idea, and believes it might be a way to use the Expo Disc golf course in a more favorable way in the future.

It was brought up to the board's attention that there are MH members that are speaking to organizations and cities, indicating to these entities, that they are representing the Mile High Disc Golf Club. The board agreed that it needs to do better job at educating club members about when they should be speaking for the club, and when they are doing this solely on their own.

8:50p - adjourned
