One of the highest disc golf courses in the country sits on Snowmass Ski Area. Snowmass is the largest of the 4 Aspen Skiing areas and is located in the Town of Snowmass Village. From Denver take I-70 West to Glenwood Springs (about 2 ½ hours), and then go south on Highway 82 to Brush Creek Road. Turn right on Brush Creek Road and head up to the ski area base (follow signs). Park in any numbered lot and head toward registration in the Ticket Pavilion.
A lift ride is required for this event and all participants will have to purchase discounted lift tickets…$24 for Saturday and Sunday, for the event. Friends and family may purchase additional lift tickets. The lift will take 12 minutes so please plan accordingly.
The tournament will consist of two rounds, totaling a minimum of 36 holes. Each round will have assigned tee times starting at 10:30 am both days with the Pro groups leading off on Saturday. This is a sanctioned PDGA event and all rules of the PDGA apply. You are responsible for knowing all rules.
The course will be ALL NEW. As of today, final design has not been determined. Doubles best disc will be played on Friday July 23rd. Tee off for the doubles will be 2:00 pm. A 10-12 minute lift ride is required for all events so please plan accordingly.
Your players package includes a commemorative disc, a players party on Sunday night with a complimentary keg of beer and assorted Snowmass swag.
Prizes and cash will be awarded for the top 40% of each division with four or more participants. Prizes will include Limited Edition Commemorative Discs, gift certificates and other assorted items. Bag Tags will be awarded to the top 3 of each division with 4 or more entries and only to those categories that have 4 or more entries two weeks prior to event. Pro Division will receive cash payouts.
