Alex Johnson is running a fun fundraiser this coming Sunday to support the 2013 JRM:
Ever wondered what it would be like to play the historic and soon to be re-designed Johnny Roberts Memorial course with discs that were in use back in the day the course went in?
If so, then come on out this Sunday at 10AM and flashback to the days of big lipped Super Class discs.
If you are unaware of what designates a Super Class disc here is a pdf showing what falls under that category.http://www.pdga.com/files/documents/Super%20Class%20Discs%20Feb%202009.pdfAnyone who has played the JRM tournament sometime over the past few years got a Fastback mold in their players pack and is a perfect disc to use.
Generally just think of Ultimate or catch style Frisbee's without a beveled edge.
Look for higher than normal scores and hopefully plenty of laughs.Details: Check in starts at 9 and goes up to 10AM Sun 9/22. Tee-off at 10AM in lieu of the normal random draw doubles. One round
This event will be held as a fundraiser for the JRM tournament and all divisions will be getting cash payouts split 50/50. i.e. 20 Pros play, $200 in entries, $100 in prize money to be split.
Spread the word and I hope to see you out on Sunday morning.
