the Pro side, 72 brave souls came out to test their skills in the wind, snow
and sleet. In the Men's Open division, Tabernash resident Tom Carrillo came firing out of the gates in
the morning, posting a 1066-rated 10 under par first round to give him a 3
stroke lead over defending champion Joe Rovere and 2012 winner Rob Nichols.
round started just as Mother Nature unleashed her fury. Blinding snow and
biting winds would increase the second round scores considerably. Fort Collins’
Tyler Liebman would shoot the hot second round, a 1036-rated four under par
round, but it would only be good enough for second place as Carrillo held on for a one shot win and
a hefty $560 check for his efforts.
