Was browsing around the iphone app store the other day and came across a new disc golf game. So I thought I'd give it a shot and was pleasantly surprised. I'll admit the graphics aren't the best, but the gameplay and physics more than make up for it. This will certainly fill those gaps in your day when you need your disc fix and can't get out to the course (work meetings, waiting rooms or super bowl halftime shows).
The gameplay is simple:
-select your disc (driver, mid, putter)
-drag the crosshair to choose the direction and height of your throw
-place your finger on the disc and flick to throw
You have your option of two courses:
"Johnson Street" - a small park course with strategically placed trees. Most of the holes are ace-able if the wind is not against you. With the wooden fence surrounding the course, this reminds me a lot of Ken Caryl :)
"Tiki Island" - a challenging course on a sandy island with palm trees, bamboo huts and umbrellas and giant Easter Island heads. The water really comes into play, making this the tougher of the two.
I'm fairly certain the manufacturer will likely offer additional courses in the near future as in-game add-ins.
